Synopsis[]
Don Wei discovers that if the Earth Team withdraws, then the Earth could be destroyed, so he reluctantly places Molly in charge of the piloting duties. But as round two begins, it's clear that the Earth Team is at a disadvantage, as mysterious obstacles keep jumping in their way. Can Molly find some way to turn the tide of the race?
Full Recap[]
Don Wei contacts the President and tells him about his intentions to withdraw from the race. The President tells him this is not an option, as withdrawing at this stage could mean the end of humanity. After the call, Don looks for Molly in the Pit, but she's not there. He sends Jordan to go find her, as they have another race that day.
Molly has run away to the local tavern, and remembers back to the day Don Wei abandoned her at the Stern Boarding School ten years ago. She is so lost in her thoughts that she doesn't notice Grooor has entered the building until he approaches her. Grooor is disgruntled by his defeat and has sought out Molly to make her regret winning. The two get into a fight, and just when she is about to be silenced, Jordan finds her and tries to take on Grooor. He is no match, and both of them appear doomed until Prince Aikka saves them. Molly is impressed but Jordan is not, and makes his opinion of the prince very clear. After Aikka leaves them, Jordan tells Molly that Don Wei wants her back to fly the Whizzing Arrow II.
The race against the Earth Team's next opponent, Flint (and his gunner Marcel) starts soon, and the two of them struggle to get there in time. The race is a trap circuit, and it is fixed by the judges to make Flint, the local hero, win the race. Don Wei warns her, and Molly is able to dodge the obstacles and win the race, while Flint's own cockiness causes his Star-Racer to be destroyed. The Earth Team wins, but Don Wei's real triumph is having Rick back from the hospital.
