Grave Like Grooor” is the third episode of the Cycle Alwas, and the third of the overall series. It first aired on April 19, 2006.

Synopsis[]

The Earth Team is without a pilot, so Molly volunteers to take the controls. Don Wei tries all the other team members instead, but when Molly takes the ship to the race, he is unable to stop her. Molly and Jordan must win the rematch against an angry Grooor, who feels they cheated him out of his win.

Full Recap[]

The Earth Team is given a rematch, but there is no pilot. Rick is alive, but out of commission for at least a week. Jordan is given a test run, but he has no skills and nearly wrecks the Arrow II. Stan and Koji are just mechanics, so Don goes to the judges to see if they will be offered a reprieve. While everyone is gone, Molly is left alone at the Pit. Satis appears and offers some advice, but he vanishes as soon as suddenly as he came. Molly climbs into the the Star-Racer, but is unable to reach the pedals, so she installs her rocket seat onto it. When Don Wei and the team return, they are shocked to see Molly operating the Arrow II. Don orders her to get out of the Star-Racer, but she convinces Jordan to come with her. Against Don Wei's orders, they go to race Grooor.

The Arrow II is too advanced for the rocket seat and is unstable on the track until Koji tells Molly to adjust her rear thrusters. Grooor drops down on Molly and Jordan and grinds them into the ground to accuse them of stealing his victory, and they shall suffer a humiliating defeat now. Grooor gives them 30 seconds for a lead, and Molly uses the extra time to engage the hyper-drive. Molly and Jordan leave Grooor behind, but the plasma tanks run out of fuel right before the finish line, so they must crawl to the finish line. Grooor closes in on them, but at the last moment, Molly turns the Arrow II around and Jordan fires at the joints on Grooor's ship, causing it to fall apart. The Arrow II crawls to the finish line, and the Earth Team wins.

However, Don Wei is angry with Molly and Jordan for disobeying his orders. Molly argues that they won the race, but Don says it was dumb luck, that Grooor was the better racer and announces that the Earth Team is withdrawing from the race. Furious, Molly runs from the Pit in tears.
