The Earth Team is the team Don Wei assembled after he was asked to represent the Earth at the Great Race of Ōban.
Right away Don Wei went to Rick for a pilot. Then he held a target practice in order to find a gunner, where he found Jordan to be the best. He then went to Miguel whom he convinced - by showing him enough money - to let him buy the Whizzing Arrow I and II, and let him hire his two engineers, Stan and Koji. As such the Earth Team was born.
Molly got onto the ship that would bring the team to the location of the Pre-Selections of the Great Race of Ōban, as such she sort of worked herself into the Earth Team. It was not until Rick could no longer fly and she replaced him permanently as the team's pilot that she found a place in the team. Still, it took much longer before Don Wei truly saw her as a part of the team.
